This is so fascinating! I think about these things a lot too. I don’t really think it’s reasonable (or even safe) to put out ALL of our genuine thoughts experiences or feelings out there into the public. “Authenticity” with people we know in our RL feels very different than any sort of “authenticity” on display for the public via writing, videos, interviews, or social media posts. And as you said we are different in different contexts, even if each “version” is genuinely authentic in that particular place/time. Anyways, I love your writing (and talking), Kier

Well said, Sasha! It makes me think of how it can be authentic (as much as anything can be) to choose privacy and keep our thoughts to ourselves. This is not, however, how it is often conceived of.

I am really interested in what you have been saying. But I don’t have 51 minutes to listen to something I could probably read in 5-10 minutes. Rev.com does limited free transcripts- is that an option?
